INFECTIOUS DISEASES
We have a two pronged approach to the treatment of infectious diseases.
In the first instance we address ourselves to the immediate symptoms of the disease so as to provide symptomatic relief.
However, as often as not the fact that such a disease has taken hold suggests there is an underlying disharmony which has allowed it to do so – this is especially the case where there is repeated bouts of the disease.
Part of our treatment is to identify this disharmony and treat it, so that the patient is no longer vulnerable to the disease. This is crucial given that some conventional treatments, such as the use of antibiotics, whilst effective at treating the immediate symptoms, may in fact predispose the patient to further outbreaks of the disease.
